Help Your Child Get Ready to Read

Thayer Memorial Library is partnering with the Nashoba Regional School District and the Community Partnership for Children to implement kindergarten readiness activities for parents and children. Parents and other caregivers can learn how to develop these important skills through the library’s Every Child Ready to Read® sessions, which

  • Engage children  in stories and fun activities that use simple but powerful learning experiences.
  • Demonstrate how to help children learn early literacy skills.
  • Send parents and caregivers home with early literacy activities to incorporate into everyday routines.

The program will be implemented to Cynthia Maxfield, Early Childhood Coordinator for the Nashoba Regional School District. Children who complete the program will be awarded certificates at the end of the school year. Drop-ins can also participate.

Sessions occur monthly in the  library through the school year. All sessions start at 10:30 a.m. Check the calendar for the schedule.
