Folks:
Let me just say I know we wanted none of this. I could list it all – the stuff I never asked for – but I’m afraid you’re all too well aware of it. But here we’ve been and remain, together.
HOWEVER.
I have never been prouder to work at the Thayer Memorial Library and serving all of you that reside in this great town. The Mothertown! One village to unite them all.
Like me, I hope you can reflect on this terrible year and find the silver linings in your life and among those that mean the most. We made it this far. Let’s see the rest through to the end. Let’s be thankful we have each other.
Until then, I speak for the Trustees, the staff, Friends of the Thayer Memorial Library, and all that contribute to making this the Thayer Memorial Library of our times; thank you for your concern, support, and appreciation.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOURS!
And, let’s not forget to be thankful for whatever our waistlines measure and ponder this.
Are you tired of eating the same holiday cookies year after year? If so, here’s a chance to expand your holiday cookie repertoire by partaking in The Great Thayer Memorial Library “Holiday Cookie Recipe Swap.”
Come, share your favorite recipes with us and receive a compilation of recipes submitted. We would like to credit recipes to someone, but you don’t have to share any personal information if you wish not to.
Instead of using your full name, consider just your first, your last, or your cat’s or some made-up name. We don’t care to whom you credit your recipe; however, we will be vetting whatever you rascals submit, so don’t be getting saucy.
What if I don’t bake, Director Joe?
Don’t worry. If you enjoy eating cookies, you can still participate. Just respond to Karen, and she will happily share whatever recipes are submitted.
Submit your recipes to the Adult Services Librarian at ksilverthorn@lancasterma.net
Peace, Peace, Peace, Peace, Peace.
Kindness, Kindness, Kindness, Kindness.
Read, Watch, Listen.
