So basically, I’m a cucumber with anxiety.

Folks, I regret to say that I am postponing my State of the Library Address.

Several factors went into the decision, but a big one was many of you told me you couldn’t attend due to erstwhile commitments. I simply didn’t give you all sufficient notice when I made the announcement. Although the address will be documented, I think it will be neat to have a full house for this inaugural event.

Please accept my apology if this change causes you any bother.

Next week I will announce via email the new date for the State of the Library Address, which I know will be sometime in mid-June.

You should also be aware that the staff and I are fixing to open the Library without a reservation sometime before the end of May. There are a couple of ducks that need to be placed in their rows and boxes that need to be checked, but we are very close.
